Three attempts over roughly a year and a half to get into the Andela network as a software engineer. The second round was rough because the interviewer went extremely deep on React internals, way past what most working engineers deal with day to day. Finally passed on the third try.
  • Deep-dive React internals questions, including concepts typically only encountered when contributing to or maintaining the React library itself.

Did a coding screen for a software engineer role at Andela. Pretty straightforward, just one problem, nothing too wild but it tripped me up more than I expected.
  • Write a program that reads a text file and counts how many times each character appears in it.
