Meta·Product Manager·Onsite - Product Sense / Strategy

Apr 2026
Meta PM interview focused entirely on a food delivery app design problem, broken into several sub-parts across what felt like one long product sense session. A lot of ground to cover and I definitely ran out of time on a couple of pieces.
  • Design the UX for the seller-side app in a food delivery platform.
  • What would the MVP look like for this food delivery app, and what would you cut?
  • How would you define and measure success for this food delivery app?
  • Walk through the end-to-end user flow for placing an order in the app.
  • How would you design a geo-based search feature to help users find nearby restaurants?

“I jumped straight to the restaurant owner's dashboard and order management flow, but the interviewer kept nudging me toward edge cases like menu updates mid-service or handling surge periods.”

Meta EM interview with a product design question. Pretty open-ended, which I wasn't totally prepared for.
  • You're a PM at Meta. Design a product for volunteers.

“I blanked for a second because I kept waiting for more constraints and there weren't any.”

Meta·Software Engineer·Technical Phone Screen

Meta SWE coding round, pretty much what you'd expect: a binary search question with some follow-up discussion on invariants and complexity. Nothing too exotic but they did push into the predicate-based generalization which I wasn't fully ready for.
  • Implement an iterative binary search. Be precise about your loop invariant (closed vs half-open interval), explain why the loop terminates, and then extend your solution to a predicate-based search that finds the leftmost index where some condition becomes true.

“Started fine with the basic search, but I fumbled when they asked me to be explicit about my invariant.”

Meta·Software Engineer·Online Assessment (OA)

Meta RS OA, nothing too brutal. One coding problem, felt manageable, and the questions seemed pulled from a known reference so if you've done your reading you're probably fine.
  • Given a list of items with ratings and prices, find the index of the item with the highest rating-to-price ratio. On ties, return the smaller index.

“The float division route works but you're asking for precision bugs.”

Meta·Product Manager·Onsite - Product Sense / Strategy

Went through a product sense round at Meta for a PM role. Just one question but it was deceptively specific, the kind where you think you know the answer and then halfway through realize you're probably missing something.
  • What is the most important metric for Instagram's verified badges?

“I went straight to trust and credibility, talked about user perception of verified accounts and whether that drives engagement.”

PM interview at Meta, one question about designing a parking solution as if you're at a well-funded startup. Pretty open-ended, which sounds fun until you're actually in it.
  • You're a PM at a well-funded startup. Design a product solution to address the parking problem.

“I spent the first couple minutes just trying to figure out what angle to take.”

Meta·Software Engineer·Onsite - Behavioral / Leadership

Apr 2026
Behavioral round at Meta for an EM role. Just the one question from what I can tell, but it's a classic and they really do push on it.
  • Tell me about a time you convinced someone to change their mind.

“I went with a story about realigning a skeptical stakeholder on a roadmap call.”

One question, Meta, PM role. Short and ambiguous in the best and worst way.
  • How would you disrupt the travel industry?

“Big open canvas question.”

Meta PM interview with a single open-ended product design question around hyperlocal experiences. Not a lot of structure given upfront, which made it a bit disorienting at first.
  • You're a product manager at Meta. Design a product for hyperlocal experiences.

“I went straight to user segmentation and kind of forgot to anchor on why Meta specifically would build this.”

Meta·Software Engineer·Technical Phone Screen

Apr 2026
Meta SWE coding round, pretty much just one problem but it's the kind that trips you up if you're not careful about edge cases.
  • Implement a power function (raising a number to an exponent) from scratch, without using any built-in power or exponentiation utilities.

“Seemed easy at first and I started writing the naive loop version.”
