Wish·Software Engineer·Onsite - Product Sense / Strategy

May 2026
Interviewed for a notifications PM role at Wish. Just one question from what I can tell, but it was a meaty one that made me think harder than expected about tradeoffs I thought I already understood.
  • As a PM owning the notifications experience, how would you figure out the right volume of notifications to send users, and where do you draw the line at too many?

“I went straight to engagement metrics and open rates, which felt logical but in hindsight was too narrow.”

May 2026
Interviewed at Wish for what seemed like a product analytics or growth role. Single question about category-level conversion on the homepage. Short session, not much else to go on.
  • If you notice that a specific category on the Wish homepage has lower conversion than others, how would you go about diagnosing and fixing it?

“I started with funnel breakdown which felt right but I spent too long on the diagnosis side and barely got to actual solutions before time was up.”

Apr 2026
One question about building a loyalty program at Wish. Not much else to go on, but it's a meaty enough prompt that it stuck with me.
  • How would you design and implement a loyalty program for Wish?

“I went straight to points and tiers which in hindsight was pretty lazy.”
